I’m Karen…
thanks for stopping by!
Back in 2017, as I looked into starting a photography business, a close friend reached out to me to take her daughter’s senior photos. Not set up for seniors, I recommended some local photogs and called it a day. But she persisted and said Taylor wanted me. So we went to Granville for a couple hours and HAD A BLAST.
I realized then that I was meant to focus on seniors and their stories.
And as they say, the rest is history.
“Karen was so easy to work with, she met with us ahead of time to listen to my wishes, asked great questions, gave advice on time and clothing choices and made the whole process something to look forward to. we were blown away by the quality of the pictures she delivered. her editing is natural and highlights without taking anything away. Karen is a delight to work with.”

Fact 01
I love to take my camera underwater.
I’m still working on my underwater photography skills, but in the Spring I do a couple underwater sessions. You are welcome to join me if you are a senior client of mine.
Just a little perk for the swimmers in my senior pack.
Fact 02
My nickname in college was Straz, after my grandfather.
Funny thing. I don’t have many photos of me with my grandfather. But I found this one after going through the family photographs - and we are connecting over a camera sometime in 1970. It means so much to me to have this photo of us. A reminder to PRINT your photos, don’t leave them on the computer. I also found his nameplate which I proudly display in my office.
Fact 03
I’m uncomfortable in front of the camera too!
But when you connect with your photographer (as I did in the above headshot) then we can make magic!
“We love them so much! Thank you for taking such good care of my girl.
She was so comfortable with you.”
